Marc R. Delacruz
Barrister & Solicitor

I was born and raised in Winnipeg, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science and my Juris Doctor degrees at the University of Manitoba. After practicing law in the Labour and Employment area of Manitoba’s largest firm, Aikins MacAulay Thorvaldson (now MLT Aikins), I headed west to pursue new opportunities in Grande Prairie. In 2008, I opened Delacruz Law Office, focusing on Family Law Litigation, Collaborative Family Law, Family Law Mediation, and Immigration Law. I joined an office-sharing arrangement in 2016 that dissociated in 2020, leading to the launch of Delacruz Law alongside my wife who was recently called to the Bar.

I enjoy travelling, skiing, and playing squash.  I am a loyal Toronto Raptors fan.  I volunteer as a Mentor with the Law Society of Alberta and have previously volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grande Prairie.

Family Law is intense and emotional.  I believe that clients are best served by a level-headed lawyer who listens to their concerns and clearly explains their available options in plain English.  I am grateful for the opportunity to earn the trust of my clients as I navigate them through what may be the most difficult and challenging transition in their lives. My goal on every one of my family law files is to work alongside my client to resolve their matters as cost-effectively and timely as possible.

Rebecca Carpentier
Legal Assistant

I am originally from the Shuswap in British Columbia, where I luckily got to grow up and take advantage of the beautiful surroundings!

My husband and I moved to Grande Prairie eight years ago to seek out all of the opportunities we heard about in this area.

So far, I have had the pleasure of working for a few great companies; my experience in various fields of work eventually led me to Delacruz Law!

I enjoy all the things to be learned as a Legal Assistant and plan on completing schooling to become a paralegal.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family (which includes my fur-baby) and doing anything crafty.

Mylène Robitaille Delacruz
Barrister & Solicitor

I was born and raised in a small town in northern Ontario. My family relocated west during my teenage years and I have called it home ever since; I have spent time in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia and in Grande Cache, Alberta.

I chose to pursue my undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa, where I completed an Honours Bachelor in Social Sciences with a Major in Criminology and a Minor in Psychology. I subsequently obtained my law degree at the Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia.

In my spare time, I enjoys sports and the outdoors. I am also passionate about volunteering . I have volunteered as a Big Sister with the Grande Prairie Big Brother Big Sister Program and was the Vice President of the Indigenous Law Students’ Association during law school. I also enjoy spending as much time with family as possible.

I am fluent in French and hope to be able to assist the francophone community here in Grande Prairie.

I am passionate about the practice of law and always look forward to a new learning opportunity. I look forward to establishing my practice alongside my husband and anticipate a long career in Northern Alberta.
